Madrid Cocktail Week 2025: 3 routes near Gran Vía

Guide to Madrid Cocktail Week 2025 (26 Sep–5 Oct): 3 walking routes from Gran Vía through Chueca, Malasaña, Salesas, plus venue map and cocktail packs.

Madrid Cocktail Week 2025: 3 routes near Gran Vía

From 26 September to 5 October, Madrid becomes a hub of creative mixology. The event’s central “hub” is THE HOUSE at the Palacio de Santa Bárbara (Chueca–Justicia), open from 26 to 28 September (Fri 18:00–00:00; Sat/Sun 12:00–00:00). The entire week unfolds across dozens of participating bars and hotels, with a Pack Tour of 5 cocktails (€35) or 10 cocktails (€65).

How it works (in 1 minute)

  • Wristband/Pack Tour: purchase a package of 5 or 10 drinks and use them at participating venues. Madrid Cocktail Week
  • THE HOUSE (26–28 Sep): tastings, workshops, “aperitivos” and brand experiences (Xoriguer, Monin, Casa Dragones, Perrier, Matusalem…).
  • Venue map: check the official list to plan your stops by neighbourhood.
  • MadVibes Hostel (C. de Mesonero Romanos, 7). From here, everything is within a 5 to 18-minute walk, depending on the route.

Route 1 — Chueca & Justicia (easy-going afternoon to evening)

Perfect for linking up with THE HOUSE and staying within a compact area:

  • THE HOUSE (Palacio de Santa Bárbara): set the tone with a guided experience.
  • Short hop around Chueca/Justicia: pick 2–3 bars from the official list (e.g., Angelita, Lovo, Harrison 1933 if they’re on the 2025 map). Tip: book workshops in advance and leave room for a “low/zero” alcohol option between stops.
  • From The House to Malasaña in five minutes.

Route 2 — Malasaña (classics with character)

Roam through short streets with plenty of atmosphere:

  • Start around Tribunal/Conde Duque and choose 3 bars from the map (examples listed for 2025 include Club Malasaña, La Peligrosa, Angelita if you prefer heading back towards Gran Vía). Gourmet tip: mix iconic bars with a new addition for the year (check the official map before heading out).
  • Route 3 — Salesas (elegant late afternoon)

    For a slower-paced, boutique-style round:

  • From MadVibes → Salesas (10–15 min) and 2–3 stops from the map (in 2025, expect a mix of cocktail bars, hotels and restaurants with well-curated bars; check the updated participants). Tip: if it’s Friday, combine with THE HOUSE (opens at 18:00). On Sat/Sun, you can start there at midday and continue on foot.
  • Check THE HOUSE opening times and daily schedule.
  • Confirm participating bars for your route on the official map (they may update).
  • Consider the Pack Tour if you’re planning 3+ stops.
  • Madrid Cocktail Week is best explored on foot and without a rigid plan: start at THE HOUSE, pick 2–3 stops per neighbourhood and leave space for a final relaxed pause. Chueca–Justicia offers proximity and variety, Malasaña brings character and bar technique, and Salesas rounds things off with calm and attention to detail. Remember to book anything necessary, check the updated participant map, and alternate with water to enjoy it all the more. If you want to keep things simple, stay at MadVibes: from Gran Vía, you’re 5–18 minutes from almost everything and can walk back when the night calls for a soft landing.
